In September, the SPVM shared the results of the Project Trinity investigation which was initially intended to solve an attempted murder that took place in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough in the previous fall.
The investigation, which took several months, helped to establish that four suspects were directly implicated in the attempted murder and thirteen other individuals were involved in firearm and narcotics-related criminal activities. In total, seventeen persons were formally charged.
Project Trinity also helped to conduct fifteen searches leading to the seizure of five firearms, six prohibited devices, various narcotics and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Project Trinity is a concrete example of exhaustive investigation work which resulted in pressing charges against several criminals and removing firearms from the streets.
